November 20th marks the Universal Children’s Day 2018. Pressalit took part in the celebration in the UN City Copenhagen, which focused on children and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Universal Children’s Day marks the day where the UN adopted the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, in 1959, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child, in 1989. The Universal Children’s Day advocate, promote and celebrate children's rights through dialogues and actions that will build a better world for children.
This year’s celebration in the UN City in Copenhagen focused on children and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Worldwide the percentage of children and young people is increasing. These young generations are the future of the world, which is why children and young people are key in reaching the ambitious agenda of a sustainable world in 2030. They are the ones, who are going to live in and lead the world in the future, which is why it is important to include them in the work with the sustainability goals.
Pressalit supports the agenda of protecting the world for future generation through our work with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically goal #4, #6, and #12. This is also why Co-Owner Dan Boyter and Senior Director Mette Dyhl Prola were present at the celebration of the World Children’s Day 2018 in the UN City Copenhagen. As part of the event, Dan Boyter participated in a talk on how companies successfully implement the SDGs into the company business and DNA.
At Pressalit, the UN’s sustainability goals are an integrated part of our work to support the sustainable development, and lower our environmental footprints. By working actively to improve and develop in a more sustainable and responsible direction, Pressalit is able to help taking care of the world for future generations.
